  • A lease for a house or flat used exclusively as housing must be registered within two months of signing; other leases have four months.
  • Registration is online through MyMinfin; since 1 January 2025 Brussels residential leases must also be registered with the Brussels-Capital Region.
  • Registration duty is 0.2% of the total rent and charges payable over the whole lease, with a minimum of EUR 50 (EUR 72 for a three-year lease at EUR 900 rent plus EUR 100 charges).
