Residency

Cyprus — Residency: Pink Slip & Permanent Residency by Investment

EU citizens who stay in Cyprus for more than three months to work must obtain a registration certificate (the yellow slip) through the Civil Registry and Migration Department; applications are due within four months of entry and the fee is €20 for each family member for a first issue or renewal. The pink slip is the residence certificate issued to the non-EU family members of an EU citizen moving with them, with the same four-month deadline. For permanent residence, Category F is for people with a secured annual income allowing a decent living in Cyprus without working in any business, trade or profession; the Migration Department page sets the minimum at €9,568 for the applicant and €4,613 for each dependent person, and these figures should be checked against the current publication. Rules for non-EU nationals depend on the permit category.
