Key facts
- An S.r.l. (limited liability company) has a stated minimum capital of EUR 10,000 (Invest in Italy).
- It can be incorporated with a contribution below EUR 10,000, down to a minimum of EUR 1; in that case at least one-fifth of net profit must go to a reserve until reserve plus capital reach EUR 10,000 (art. 2463 Civil Code).
- An S.p.A. (joint-stock company) needs minimum capital of EUR 50,000 (art. 2327 Civil Code).
