Malaysia — Tax: Double Tax Treaties

HASiL publishes a list of Malaysia's comprehensive double taxation agreements with their signing and entry-into-force dates, and also shows agreements that are gazetted but not yet in force, such as those with Belgium, Indonesia, Kuwait and Seychelles. A HASiL withholding-tax page puts Malaysia's count at 75 effective agreements, but that page may be dated. Check the HASiL list to see whether a treaty with your country is in force, and read the treaty for the income it covers.
