Monaco — Tax: Capital Gains

Monaco does not impose a dedicated capital gains tax on individual residents. Gains derived from the sale of securities, equities, financial instruments, art, or other personal assets are realized entirely tax-free. Real estate transactions are also exempt from personal capital gains tax, though property transfers are subject to significant registration fees and stamp duties during conveyancing. For corporate entities, capital gains are treated as ordinary business income and are taxable at the 25% corporate tax rate only if the company meets the criteria for corporate tax liability.
