Residency
New Zealand — Residency: Digital Nomad Visa
New Zealand has no digital nomad visa in the Immigration New Zealand official pages. A visitor visa lets you stay up to 6 or 9 months depending on your passport country, does not allow work for a New Zealand employer, and Immigration New Zealand says you may be able to work remotely for an employer or client based outside New Zealand. The visitor visa listing shows a fee from NZ$441 with 80% of applications processed within two weeks, and from 1 October 2026 applications must be made online. After 12 months in New Zealand as a visitor you must stay outside for 12 months before another visitor visa can be approved. For work over three months, consider a work visa.
