Singapore — Banking: Required Documents

Singapore banks set their own account-opening documents for foreigners, and the minimum age is 18 at the banks checked. DBS asks non-Malaysian foreigners for a passport, a valid Singapore pass or an In-Principle Approval letter, proof of residential address dated within three months, and in some cases proof of tax residency. UOB asks foreigners to apply in person with a passport valid for at least six months, a secondary ID, proof of a Singapore address and a pass such as an Employment Pass, S Pass or Dependant Pass. OCBC's app-based opening is limited to certain nationalities and requires a first deposit of S$3,000 or more within 90 days. Check each bank's current page before applying.
