Singapore — Tax: VAT

Singapore's VAT equivalent is the Goods and Services Tax (GST), currently at a standard rate of 9%, effective since 1 January 2024 (the final step of a phased increase from the previous 7-8% rates). GST applies broadly to most goods and services, with limited exemptions (e.g. financial services, residential property sales/leases, and most exported goods/international services, which are zero-rated).
